The story begins about a month and a half after the disaster at the mansion lab.

Umbrella Corp develops the T-virus, a muta-genic toxin for the use in biological weapons.

After breaking loose, living things mutate into all sorts of decaying creatures.

The case was eventually closed, but Umbrella's experience was far from over.

Now it's the worst possible nightmare: a new virus runs rampant.

All of Raccoon City is infested. Blood-thirsty zombies, hideous mutations now overwhelm the community.

Leon is an idealistic rookie cop. He burns with the need to protect and to serve, and life as a cadet was an eye - opening experience. While reckless and brash, Leon is certainly not as naive as his demeanor would suggest. He is highly qualified for his new job with the Raccoon Police.

Things get out of hand from the very beginning for Leon and there are hungry zombies on his case from the word 'Go'

mutagenic weapon has resulted in a horrifying viral outbreak, transforming every man, woman,

and child in the city into one of the living dead.

And all of them are hungry...

Leon has only one chance to save himself: get to RPD headquarters andfind some means of escape.
